Subscribe to US Holidays Calendar on iPhone

I hate that the iPhone doesn’t come default with an option to display locale holiday calendars.

You’re able to purchase and download an app that contains the Holidays of your choice, OR you simply subscribe to a calendar that has the Holidays pertaining to your locale.

I opted for the latter. And here’s how you can too.

How-To Subscribe to US Holiday Calendar ICS: ical.mac.com/ical/US32Holidays.ics

1. Tap the “Settings” icon

2. Tap “Mail, Contacts, Calendars”

3. Scroll down and tap “Add Account”

4. Tap “Other” at the very bottom

5. Tap “Add Subscribed Calendar” at the very bottom

6. In the server field, input: ical.mac.com/ical/US32Holidays.ics – or the URL to the *.ics file of the Calendar you wish to subscribe to and then tap “Next”

7. (Optional) You can then change the name of the calendar under “Description” – then tap Save

Yep. It’s that easy.
And free.

You can find thousands of calendars to subscribe to online using Google and searching for an ICS.

Chase Mobile Update Solves Badge Issue

The Chase Mobile App Update solves the “issue” that I had with their badges.

Quite frankly, I disabled Push Notifications on the Chase Mobile
application because it was like jumping through hoops just to view the
actual notifications in order to clear the badge. It shouldn’t take
that long to access the micky ficky.

But now, Chase Mobile App clears the badge as soon as you login.

Score!

…maybe they DO listen to their customers
…when it benefits them to do so. ;)

Love NikeRunning.com Mobile

Hopefully you’ve had a chance to check out the new NikeRunning.com Mobile Website.

And if you haven’t, you’re slacking!

We LOVE it!

You can see all that you need to from the mobile version.

Prior to the release of OS 4.1, NikeRunning.com was desktop only. You would receive

the infamous flash required error when accessing the website from iPhone. But now, you have access to all of the same information that you would see on regular nikerunning.com desktop view.

Maybe in the future they’ll add links to user’s profiles? Yum!

We’re glad they’ve stepped things up a notch! It’s about time!
